No, there was no booming voice in my head.
No burning bush in my garden.
But the quiet, steady, growing realization that something bigger was happening here.
Something that I was commanded to do... a problem I was compelled solve.
It wasn't exactly, "the quiet whispers emanating from Holy Unrest" as the Reverend Bill Hybels talks about... nor a "possibility thinking" pursuit as Dr. Robert Schuller promotes in his Be Attitudes... or even the "inspired leadership" that Dr. John Maxwell espouses in Running With the Giants.
No, these were not how I would describe my own spiritual mandate.
For me the conviction I mentioned above became so strong on the inside that it resulted in a full fledged, "start the presses" and amass an all out development effort — a huge undertaking that I personally take VERY seriously!
