"It's how we spend our time here and now, that really matters. If you are fed up with the way you have come to interact with time, change it."

Which Role Are You Focusing On Right Now?
Focus on the role you're in. While working as a graphic artist, focus on being the best graphic artist you can be. Choose another time to focus on your other roles as the best possible parent, spouse or friend.
It is most important to know which role you're in at any given point in time. Once you know the role, you can then act the part appropriately, and in the most productive way possible.
Today's Idea For Action is from the TQ Prioritize Color: Focus on just ONE Role at a Time.

Now, ask yourself the following three questions:
- How often are you aware of what role you're in?
- How often do you switch roles?
- When was the last time you were in one role mentally and another one physically?
So, Just How Committed to High Achievement Are You?
A high commitment (6C rated 8 or better) suggests you stay focused and highly productive because you're in the right role for every situation. You always know which role you're in, and you've confirmed that it's the right one for that situation. For example, you're an attentive parent at home, and a dedicated employee at work. Knowing that you can only be in one role at a time, you maximize your results by focusing on what you can do best right now. Sometimes this review causes you to switch to a more appropriate role. Your focus on one role at a time reduces stress and guilt.
A lack of commitment suggests there are times when the role you're playing is not the most productive at the time. You have important obligations within each of your roles -- and you're stressed when you can't get to one, because you are spending time on another. This concern for issues outside your current role makes it hard to focus on the task at hand. It also means that opportunities are lost when you are preoccupied by a role that is totally unrelated to your current sales call, religious service, your child's story about her day at school or your Saturday night date.
What happens when you do TQ Factor 6C more frequently?
You have more power. When the curtains go up, you're in the right role at the right time for the right play.
You accumulate performance positives like "Appropriate, Effective and In-Tune" -- immediately moving you towards the results you expect.
What happens when you fail to consistently do TQ Factor 6C?
You have less power. You are far less effective when your attention is on a role that is unrelated to your immediate situation.
Negatives like "Inappropriate, Ineffective and Preoccupied" start to take their toll on your performance -- quickly moving you away from the success you want.
